LET'S HELP OUR FRIENDS IN SILVER SPRING!

Calling out to people in G-Town to help crack a case in Silver Spring.

Maybe someone here in Germantown, remembers this case or perhaps even has something they would like to share.

This is the information I have found and more should be coming soon.

NOTICE ANYTHING MISSING?

This is a before and after series of Walter Johnson Road right here in Germantown, MD.  (the before picture was taken with low light and was shot from the opposite direction) but if you are any kind of familiar with the area you would know that Moving Trucks, Comcast/Xfinity vehicles, tow trucks and other commercial vehicles have been parking on the right hand side of the road (when facing East) for well over a decade where there are plenty of NO PARKING signs.

I thought this would be a good test for me to see what I can get done with just a few phone calls and an email to the District 5 Commander.  And not only were all vehicles ticketed ($250 each) but the following day they were all gone.

My next goal was to get the No Parking signs that the vehicles have blatantly run over and destroyed, replaced.  However after I made my statement to the Commander which included my request for the signs to be repaired, 3 signs were repaired/replaced and 1 new sign was put up.

This again was just a test for myself on what could and can be done when I put my skills to work.  But we all have the skills and we can all use them to change things in OUR community.

TRAFFIC PROBLEMS IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD?

After seeing these pictures and others in and around Gunners Lake on Wisteria Drive in Germantown, MD and after reading the complaints and the steps that OUR Community had already taken to alleviate the traffic problems in the area it was apparent that their concerns either were not being heard at all or that they were not being taken seriously by Montgomery County.

As the Founder and representative of KZNow and as a concerned member of OUR Community, I decided to take matters into my own hands and escalate this issue up some avenues that others had not tried yet.

After emailing many Maryland officials I was finally able to get some replies to OUR problem in the area around the lake.  The most promising reply came from Daniela Moya-Geber the Senior Legislative Aide to Councilmember Craig Rice.  She contacted Captain Mark Plazinski of the 5th District.

This is just another example of what can be done with the right words to the right people.  I still have to wait to see what happens about the issue before I set this down.  I will be keeping a vigilant eye on the area around Gunners Lake.
